Pine Belt Farmers & Artisans Market Thursday, April 15th, 2010 - 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm The Pine Belt Farmers & Artisans Market Alliance seeks to improve the quality of life and health of communities across the Pine Belt by promoting positive social engagement as well as cultural enhancement through interconnected local economic relationships and exciting public gatherings focusing on local food. The Market begins in Hattiesburg on the 1st Thursday of April, this year April 1st, and continues every Thursday through the end of October.

The Hattiesburg location for the Pine Belt Farmers' and Artisans' Market will continue to be Town Square Park, at the intersection of Main & Buschman Streets. The Market begins every Thursday afternoon at 3 PM and continues until 6 PM in the evening. Every week expect to find a seasonal variety of locally grown, fresh farm produce in addition to a wide variety of dairy options, delicious prepared foods of all types and nursery plants. Rock N Roux Festival Friday, April 16th, 2010 - Call For Times Sacred Heart School PTO is hosting the “Last Annual Rock ‘N Roux Festival on Friday and Saturday, April 16th and 17th, 2010. The Rock ‘N Roux Festival will be held at Sacred Heart School in Historic Downtown Hattiesburg.
The events will kick off at 5 p.m. on Friday with carnival rides and games for the kids, and hamburger and hot dogs for sale from 5 pm until 10 pm. Saturday will feature a full day of food and entertainment for the whole family starting at 10 am and going until 10 pm. Events will include carnival rides, live music, gumbo, hot dog and hamburgers, and beer.

Live at Five Friday, April 16th, 2010 - 5:00 pm Come out to the Town Square Park in Historic Downtown Hattiesburg for an evening filled with music, food and fun for all ages. Live @ Five is a free concert series that takes place every Friday evening April and October. The event takes place in Downtown Hattiesburg at Town Square Park from 5pm - 9pm. WCU Concert- Big Daddy Weave Saturday, April 17th, 2010 - 7:30 pm William Carey University celebrates their Homecoming Week with a performance by Big Daddy Weave. Big Daddy Weave will make a stop while on tour in Hattiesburg along with recording artist, Chris and Conrad. The concert will take place in Smith Auditorium on Campus. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. A group rate $10 per person is available for groups of 20 or more through April 1.
