7th Annual May Fest Thursday, April 29th, 2010 - All Day May Fest brings more than 10,000 spectators from around the region. Patrons will enjoy music concerts, an agility dog show and midway rides courtesy of Mitchell Bros. Amusements. This will be fun for the entire family. Pine Belt Farmers & Artisans Market Thursday, April 29th, 2010 - 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm The Pine Belt Farmers & Artisans Market Alliance seeks to improve the quality of life and health of communities across the Pine Belt by promoting positive social engagement as well as cultural enhancement through interconnected local economic relationships and exciting public gatherings focusing on local food. The Market begins in Hattiesburg on the 1st Thursday of April, this year April 1st, and continues every Thursday through the end of October.

The Hattiesburg location for the Pine Belt Farmers' and Artisans' Market will continue to be Town Square Park, at the intersection of Main & Buschman Streets. The Market begins every Thursday afternoon at 3 PM and continues until 6 PM in the evening. Every week expect to find a seasonal variety of locally grown, fresh farm produce in addition to a wide variety of dairy options, delicious prepared foods of all types and nursery plants. Rock War IV Friday, April 30th, 2010 - 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm The war is back on and its going to be bigger and better than ever. Rock War IV presented by C&M Music will take place outdoors on Friday, April 30th, at the JL Cartlidge Forrest County Multi Purpose Center in conjunction with the 7th Annual May Fest. Ten rock bands from South Mississippi will be hand picked from submitted entries and demos to battle it out on stage for thousands of dollars worth of cash and prizes.
