Pine Belt Farmers & Artisans Market Thursday, April 8th, 2010 - 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm The Pine Belt Farmers & Artisans Market Alliance seeks to improve the quality of life and health of communities across the Pine Belt by promoting positive social engagement as well as cultural enhancement through interconnected local economic relationships and exciting public gatherings focusing on local food. The Market begins in Hattiesburg on the 1st Thursday of April, this year April 1st, and continues every Thursday through the end of October.

The Hattiesburg location for the Pine Belt Farmers' and Artisans' Market will continue to be Town Square Park, at the intersection of Main & Buschman Streets. The Market begins every Thursday afternoon at 3 PM and continues until 6 PM in the evening. Every week expect to find a seasonal variety of locally grown, fresh farm produce in addition to a wide variety of dairy options, delicious prepared foods of all types and nursery plants. An American Requiem Thursday, April 8th, 2010 - 7:30 pm The Hatiesburg Civic Chorus and Concert Association cordially invites you to be part of the world premiere of Edwin Penhorwood's: An American Requiem. This event will take place at Main Street Baptist Church. Admission will be $22. Come out for a wonderful evening.

Live at Five Friday, April 9th, 2010 - 5:00 pm Come out to the Town Square Park in Historic Downtown Hattiesburg for an evening filled with music, food and fun for all ages. Live @ Five is a free concert series that takes place every Friday evening April and October. The event takes place in Downtown Hattiesburg at Town Square Park from 5pm - 9pm. Hattiesburg Zoo 60th Birthday Party Saturday, April 10th, 2010 - 11:00 am - 2:00 pm Since 1950, the Hattiesburg Zoo has been inspiring and delighting visitors of all ages. Come out on April 10th, the zoo will celebrate 60 years of adventure with an historic birthday bash. With Zoo admission, visitors will be entertained with birthday activities every half hour beginning at 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
