The Petal Parks and Recreation Department is excited to implement and conduct sporting events at the city's new and expanded recreational complexes. The Robert E. Russell Sports Complex will soon offer 8 ball fields, 2 concession stands, a walking track, 2 tennis courts, a new playground with covered picnic tables, and a skate park. Facilities are also available for youth basketball, fast and slow-pitch softball, soccer and football.
